In plasma or laser cutting of sheet metal, a significant issue is the formation and accumulation of slag and burrs along the table's edges. Cleaning the cutting grid is time-consuming and often requires expensive replacements or repairs. Moreover, the buildup of slag and burrs on laser cutting tables leads to uneven surfaces, negatively impacting the quality of metal cutting. Therefore, removing the slag after a period of use is laborious and time-consuming, sometimes even necessitating the replacement of the cutting grid itself.

The protective agent E-WELD Shield is designed for use in plasma or laser cutting applications. It is easy to apply through a spraying system and provides optimal surface protection. By treating the cutting table with a coating, the ceramic additives in the product prevent the accumulation of large amounts of slag. Additionally, this slag is easier to remove, meaning less time is needed for cleaning the cutting rods, allowing the system to be used for longer periods. Furthermore, since cutting grids do not need frequent replacement, costs are saved. This technology features:

 

  • Protects cutting grids from significant slag and burr accumulation
  • Reduces loss of working time
  • Increases the lifespan of cutting tables/grids

 

▲ 1 kg of protective agent is sufficient to treat approximately 20 square meters of cutting grid surface.

 

Application method:

 

  1. Apply E-WELD Shield evenly on new or clean cutting grids; repeat for better protection.
  2. Let the applied coating dry for 1 hour.
  3. Slag on the cutting grid will be easy to remove. It can last approximately 2 to 4 weeks. Then reapply the E-Weld Shield protective layer.
