Gelest has created a clean surface technology that is clinically proven to provide long-lasting protection.

 

We use surface protectants for many things in our lives. Clear coats and waxes on your car make it easier to clean and protect it from contaminants and residue. Anti-stain coating on upholstery makes cleaning a breeze. Your outdoor clothing is treated with water repellent to keep you dry. We even coated the skillet so the eggs would slide onto the plate.

 

Principle of action

 

With XYLEXTM PROTECT, start with a clean and disinfected surface. Then, apply XYLEX ® Protect and let it dry. It forms an invisible molecular barrier on surfaces that works with standard disinfection protocols to prevent ATP surges. Although we can't see XYLEXTM PROTECT on the surface, we can take a closer look at the molecular level to see how it works. The active ingredient XYLEXTM PROTECT forms a self-assembled monolayer on the surface. The monolayer has an anti-adhesion effect, making it difficult for organic residues to stick to the surface. At the same time, it eliminates gaps and creates a smooth surface, making regular disinfectants more effective than unprotected surfaces.

 

How to use!?

 

So, how do we deal with high-touch surfaces in hospitals, restaurants, and other public spaces?

 

Rigorous cleaning and disinfection regimens can remove microorganisms from surfaces but do not prevent microbial recolonization and the surge of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) during cleaning. This means microorganisms can grow exponentially between cleanings, spreading infection and disease.

 

Apply once a month after regular cleaning and disinfection, XYLEX ® Protect forms a durable barrier on frequently touched surfaces, just like stain protection on upholstery Same coating. Available as a spray or wipe, XYLEX ® Protect's anti-stick properties make it difficult for organic residues to take hold, keeping ATP levels low and within acceptable limits until your next cleaning.
