Ferric Chloride and Sodium Sulfide for Copper Removal, Unaware of High-Activity Copper Precipitation Agents

"Green Sustainable Production, Implementing Circular Economy"

"Continuously Meeting Stringent Wastewater Discharge Standards"

The wastewater generated from printed circuit board production contains a significant amount of heavy metals that can be recycled. However, when the wastewater contains chelating agents, they form complex compounds with heavy metal ions, making it challenging to remove heavy metal ions using conventional hydroxide precipitation methods. Currently, common treatment methods include chemical methods, electrochemical methods, and metal displacement methods. Traditional chemical treatment methods generally require the use of a large amount of coagulant, resulting in the generation of a large amount of heavy metal sludge, which does not effectively solve the problem. In contrast, high-activity copper removal agents require a smaller dosage and do not produce significant amounts of heavy metal sludge.

Below is a comparison of the effectiveness between sodium sulfide and high-activity copper removal agents:

For wastewater with a copper content of 62.5 mg/L, the removal results after adding sodium sulfide and high-activity copper removal agents are shown in the graph. The high-activity copper removal agent's removal effect is far superior to that of sodium sulfide.

Features of High-Activity Copper Removal Agent

Requires one-fifth of the dosage compared to sodium sulfide.

Effectively removes over 95% of copper from wastewater.

Produces half the amount of sludge compared to traditional coagulation precipitation methods.
